Job Description:
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
Design electronic projects from the concept and design stage through to
the production stage and make modifications of the product when necessary.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design, develop, and evaluate circuits.
Develop control system and navigation products from concept and design
stage through to production.
Work as an individual contributor and in a team environment to design for
the precision agriculture market.
Coordinate engineering efforts with drafting production, Product Service,
Purchasing, and Sales.
Work with customers, suppliers, and distributors regarding production or
trouble-shooting problems.
Write, develop, evaluate, and document new and modified product software
programs; including the CAD systems.
Advise personnel involved in project design and production with technical
engineering information.
Attend division and project meetings to evaluate progress on projects.
Meet with vendors and suppliers to select production components.
May work with cost accounting for components used in production of new and
modified products.
Create milestone charts for each new design project.
Evaluate products and coordinate new product line.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:
College graduate with degree in Engineering.
One to three years experience in a manufacturing environment.
Design experience developing software for embedded systems preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Knowledge of electronic requirements in relation to product design.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with
customers, suppliers, subordinates, and management.
Knowledge of CAD system.
Correctional vision and upper body mobility to operate computer and
perform designing and testing functions for the project.
Position requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, speech
and hearing ability.
